In 2012, Gore-Tex?/FONT>The brand is once again calling on brave and capable individuals. This time, participants can realize both their outdoor and photography dreams in one go.

Two dreams: outdoor adventure and photography
“Endless Experience ― 2012 Gore-Tex™ Outdoor Dreams Come True” campaign. The proposal submission period is from December 20, 2011, to May 31, 2012. The evaluation period runs from June to August, and the annual champion team will embark on their journey from August to October.
The activity is divided into four groups, with monthly champions selected respectively. These monthly winners, along with the overall station champions, will compete to become the final candidates for the annual championship plan. The winners will receive travel funds from Gore and outdoor gear support from its partners, including Gore-Tex.?/FONT>Outdoor equipment support.
Photography enthusiasts will be pleased to know that this edition will also recruit outdoor dream photographers. Any passionate explorer with rich experience and a love for photography is welcome to join. Participants can register and submit proposals during the application period at the “Image Vision” sub-station of the Outdoor Dreams Come True campaign. Four photographers will be selected this year to join the teams of the four annual champion group winners on their journeys.

In 2011, the “Retracing the Stilwell Road and the 24 Turns” team touched the pulse of wartime history and experienced the passionate years of conflict through exploration. Where do you want to go in 2012?
This section features five years’ worth of excellent proposals from the overall and sub-stations that were not selected for travel. Based on popular travel destinations such as Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang, Southern Jiangxi, Sichuan, and more, the campaign website will release a collection of outstanding “Endless Experience” travel routes. Netizens can choose any of these routes, organize a team, and apply to join the journey. The winning team will be selected based on route popularity and the strength of the applying teams, through online voting and judge evaluations.
The Glorious Journey of the Campaign
The “Endless Experience ― Gore-Tex!"Outdoor Dreams Come True” campaign originates from Gore’s Shipton Tilman Exploration Fund Award.
Eric Shipton, hailed by mountaineering historians as the “Uncrowned King of Everest,” discovered the southern route to the summit of Everest and achieved pioneering expeditions and climbs in Africa, India, the Karakoram Range, and Patagonia.
To uphold Shipton’s philosophy of exploration—climbing, exploring, and discovering the blank spots on the map—the American Gore company established the Shipton Tilman Exploration Fund Award. Starting in 2007, Gore launched the “Endless Experience – Gore-Tex!"Outdoor Dreams Come True” campaign for outdoor sports enthusiasts across China.
Building on the 2011 campaign platforms such as Sina, Green Trail (Lvye), 8264, Sanfo Outdoor, and “Image Vision,” this year new platforms have been added including NetEase, 517, Biao Network - Shenge Northeast, Yuantuo Outdoor, and Ku6, bringing the total number of campaign sub-platforms to 10. Outdoor enthusiasts can choose to participate via these platforms.
