According to information from the Mount Siguniang Administration Bureau in Sichuan, at around 11:00 a.m. on the 27th, Ma Yi, deputy director of the Outdoor Activities Management Center of the Mount Siguniang Administration Bureau, received a report that a tourist led by Yang Xiaomi, a villager from Changping Village, was blown off the summit while ascending the third peak of Mount Siguniang. Their current condition is unknown.
It is understood that this is another case of unauthorized climbing. Currently, the scenic area management and the Sichuan High Mountain Rescue Team are searching for the missing person. This "hiker" did not complete any formal procedures or purchase an entrance ticket for the climb, and as no information was registered with the mountain climbing management authorities, it has posed certain difficulties for the rescue operation. The Mount Siguniang Scenic Area Administration Bureau has dispatched three rescue teams totaling 21 personnel to the incident site to conduct search and rescue efforts.
