Following the successful events in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shenyang in December 2011 and the stunning appearance at the ISPO Beijing Exhibition, the ten-city tour grand ceremony “The Great Ascent – KAILAS China First Ascent Project: The First Climb of Yangmolong,” promoted and organized by KAILAS, will officially kick off in the Land of Abundance – Chengdu – on February 28, 2012.

About the KAILAS China First Ascent Project –
The KAILAS China “First Ascent Project” is a series of activities initiated by the outdoor brand KAILAS to explore and climb mountains that have never been climbed or summited before. During the climbing process, climbers record in real time through photos and videos the geographical location, mountain features, climate changes, cultural characteristics, and the current status of flora and fauna, thereby achieving a comprehensive scientific understanding of the mountains. After each climb, the data from the activities are compiled and organized. The ultimate goal is to establish a comprehensive mountain database that provides extensive mountain and climbing information for climbing enthusiasts, as well as more data support for mountain environmental protection.
The “First Ascent Project” is an exploratory initiative.
