The 2012 Baoshan National Automobile Cross-Country Championship in China and the First Stilwell Road Cross-Country Challenge will be held from March 30 to April 2. Dozens of racing cars and over a hundred drivers from across the country will participate. This event will take the famous "Stilwell Road" as its main route, featuring two race stages in Longyang–Longling and Tengchong, as well as two circuit races in Longyang and Tengchong.
The entire route features complex terrain and diverse road conditions, including high mountains and deep valleys, mountain basins, fault subsidence basins, alluvial river valley basins, volcanic barrier lakes, and abundant geothermal resources. The scenic beauty along the way is picturesque, with a rich historical and cultural heritage and vibrant ethnic and folk customs.
