If you have the chance to visit Chongqing, be sure to check out Hongyadong. It’s a complex of antique-style stilt houses built on the cliffs along the Jialing River, known as the "Cliffside City of China." When night falls, the area is brightly lit, creating a picturesque scene by the river. Some say it feels like stepping into the world of *Spirited Away*.

Located in the core commercial district of Chongqing Municipality, Hongyadong sits on Cangbai Road in Jiefangbei, along the waterfront where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet. It combines urban tourism, business leisure, and cultural landscapes. Centered around the traditional Bayu stilt house architecture, it follows the mountain terrain and riverside setting.

Hongyadong has a history of over 2,300 years. The "Hongyadong Folk Custom Scenic Area" was one of the "Eight People's Livelihood Projects" launched by the Chongqing Municipal Government in 2005, covering a total area of 46,000 square meters. The scenic area is divided into four main streets: Zhixianhe Bar Street, Tiancheng Lane Bayu Style Street, Shengyan Food Street, and the Exotic City Balcony. Visitors can explore the cluster of stilt houses, admire the lush greenery of Hongya, stroll through the old mountain city streets, experience Bayu culture, witness the convergence of the two rivers, and sample local delicacies.

Netizen "Photographer Zhang Xiang" recently shared photos on Weibo, showcasing the stunning beauty of Hongyadong captured from 12 different angles over half a month. "Dazzled by the beauty!" "Want to go!" The photos garnered significant attention. The official Weibo account of Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism also used the photos, describing Hongyadong as "the embodiment of a dream."
