Extra flights added for Mid-Autumn holiday travel rush: Mandarin Airlines schedules 26 additional flights to Kinmen and Penghu

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival holiday spans four days, and Mandarin Airlines has added extra flights to help manage the returning passenger flow. From September 14 to September 19, the airline has planned additional flights to outlying islands. A total of 20 extra flights will be operated to Makung (Penghu), and 6 to Kinmen, making 26 additional flights in total.

The 26 additional flights to outlying islands include 10 flights between Taipei and Makung, 10 between Taichung and Makung, 2 between Taipei and Kinmen, and 4 between Taichung and Kinmen, totaling 26 extra Mid-Autumn flights. These are designed to alleviate air traffic congestion to more remote outlying islands during the holiday and assist travelers in returning home to reunite with family. Mandarin Airlines also noted that it will help passengers travel back to Taiwan and return to work smoothly after the holiday.

Booking for the 26 extra flights scheduled for the Mid-Autumn holiday period will open at 08:00 AM on August 15 (next Monday). Passengers can check availability and make reservations via the website or by phone.
