In order to actively respond to the "National Fitness Program Outline" issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, promote healthy and active sports fitness activities, and pioneer a sports marketing model to comprehensively showcase the unique culture of the scenic area, the Huayang Scenic Area in Yang County, Hanzhong, Shaanxi, will hold the 2012 Yang County First "Huayang Cup" Mountain Bike Orienteering Challenge on April 22.

This event is organized by the Xi'an Wolf Orienteering Club, co-organized by the Wolf Auto Club and the Rangers Cycling Club, and enjoys strong support from the People's Government of Yang County, the Management Committee of Changqing Huayang Scenic Area, as well as the active participation of cycling enthusiasts. It will be a comprehensive sports tourism event integrating sports competitions, camping, self-driving, gourmet food, and entertainment.
It is understood that this competition adopts a team format, consisting of preliminary rounds and the finals, featuring two events: Mountain Bike Hill Climb and Mountain Bike Orienteering. The preliminary rounds use a point system, with the Mountain Bike Hill Climb and Mountain Bike Orienteering segments scored separately. First place earns 1 point, second place earns 2 points, and so on. The scores from both segments are combined, and the twelve teams with the lowest total scores will compete in the finals in the Ancient Town of Huayang on April 22 for the final showdown.
