Rock Climbing:
He has established around 200 climbing routes in various locations across Guangxi, Henan’s Guoliang Village, Sichuan’s Shuangqiaogou, and Zhejiang’s Xiangshan.
He has climbed rock faces of diverse styles in locations such as various parts of Guangxi, Beijing’s Baihe area, Yunnan’s Fumin and Laojun Mountain, Sichuan’s Shuangqiaogou, Henan’s Guoliang, Guangzhou’s Baiyun Mountain, Chongqing’s Yulin River, Thailand’s Krabi and Chiang Mai, Taiwan’s Taipei and Kaohsiung, and Laos’ Vang Vieng.
Ice Climbing:
Starting in 2008, like most ice climbers, he made annual pilgrimages to Shuangqiaogou, season after season. He has completed WI4–6 ice walls and ice routes including Ginseng Fruit Terrace Icefall, Dragon’s Breath, and Wings.
Paragliding:
In 2007, he placed second in the overall individual category and third in the precision landing event at the National Paragliding Elite Athletes Competition in Longli, Guizhou.
In 2008, he took third place at the National Paragliding Elite Athletes Competition in Taiyuan’s Tianlong Mountain.
On New Year’s Day 2009, he attempted mountain flight in Shuangqiaogou, Sichuan.
Cave Exploration:
Beginning in 2000 with his exploration of the Dashiwei Tiankeng Group in Leye, Guangxi, he has explored caves in Guangxi’s Leye, Lingyun, Yizhou, Daxin, Jingxi, Tian’e, Sanjiang, Liuzhou, and Pingguo; conducted underwater cave measurements in Enshi’s Tenglong Cave in Hubei’s Lichuan; and explored Xiaoza Tiankeng in Fengjie, Chongqing...
Mountain Outdoor Competitions:
He has served multiple times as a route setter and off-road skills head judge for top-tier international and domestic mountain outdoor competitions, including the Wulong International Mountain Outdoor Open in Chongqing, China, and the Leye National Mountain Outdoor Open in Baise, China.
After years of dedication and climbing, this grassroots climbing talent has not only developed his own unique style but also earned widespread acclaim in the industry. Currently, Zhao Zhongjun holds certifications including Intermediate Rock Climbing Instructor from the China Mountaineering Association, Level 1 Mountain Outdoor Sports Competition Judge from the China Mountaineering Association, Chinese Paragliding Pilot License, and Rescue Diver certification from SSI (Scuba Schools International).
