Pokémon can now be caught in Kinmen too!"Pokémon Go"was made available for download in Taiwan on the 6th, sparking a Pokémon craze across the island. However, Kinmen, located over 200 kilometers from Taiwan, did not show any Pokémon on the map, leaving locals very disappointed. But finally, on the afternoon of the 10th day after the game’s release, Pokémon became catchable in Kinmen, drawing crowds of players to the streets.

Previously, it was suspected that Kinmen's geographical proximity to mainland China mistakenly placed it in an area where the game had not yet been launched, leaving local residents with no Pokémon to catch. But on the afternoon of the 15th,well-known landmarks in Kinmen such as the Shanwai Railway Station, Josheh Monument, Jinhu Elementary School, and Lake Parkall began featuring Pokémon, exciting locals and bringing a new atmosphere to this land rich in military heritage.
