The 3rd China "Xilin Gol International Equestrian Endurance Open" will be held in Xilinhot City, Inner Mongolia, during August 2012. The Xilin Gol Grassland is the birthplace of China’s equestrian endurance racing, where two highly influential endurance races have already been successfully held. Therefore, this year’s third edition will further elevate the event’s standards, preparing the race according to international criteria and specifications, and hosting an authoritative equestrian endurance competition under the guidance of technical officials and judges dispatched by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). With the guidance of technical officials from the FEI Endurance Committee, the race will further refine track settings and expand the scale of the event in accordance with international standards. Through standardized management, the event will significantly enhance its authority, competitiveness, and spectator appeal.
This endurance race is approved by the Cycling and Fencing Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Equestrian Association; it is hosted by the Tourism Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Sports Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the People's Government of Xilin Gol League; and organized by the Tourism Bureau of Xilin Gol League, the People's Government of Xilinhot City, Beijing Jiuzhou Jinma International Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Yuanhe Group. Technical support is provided by the FEI Endurance Committee, the FEI Judges Committee, the FEI Veterinary Committee, and the Asian Equestrian Federation.
This endurance race is an international equestrian event. The course spans 80 kilometers and adheres to FEI international standards. It will invite renowned international endurance riders from over ten countries and regions, including France, Italy, the United States, Spain, Argentina, and Mexico, as well as riders from across China to compete in an exciting and thrilling contest. The event has a limited registration quota of 80 riders, and the prize money exceeds that of previous domestic equestrian endurance races. (The prize money standards will be announced shortly.) In August, the Xilin Gol Grassland boasts lush greenery, beautiful waters, plump sheep, and strong horses. The endurance race track, designed to international standards, offers a rich variety of experiences. Riders not only participate in thrilling competitions on the Xilin Gol Grassland but also get to enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery of the grasslands.
