Fly to Northeast China in Summer to Escape the Heat   Far Eastern Air launches Taichung–Harbin Route

Following the launch of its Kaohsiung–Haikou route, Far Eastern Air will commence flights between Taichung and Harbin on August 18. Operating once a week, this route takes just over three hours to reach Harbin, the largest city in Northeast China and a top summer retreat.

Far Eastern Air noted that Harbin is known as the “Ice City” and a “Summer Paradise.” It is not only a key transportation hub and economic center in the Northeast but also a renowned tourist destination in China. In addition to its world-famous Ice and Snow Festival in winter, which features spectacular light and ice sculptures, Harbin’s average summer temperature of 22°C makes it an ideal getaway during the hot season. The city’s green spaces and relaxed atmosphere rival those of European cities, while its Russian-style architecture and European-flavored streets give visitors a feeling of being abroad. Harbin is also one of the Chinese cities open to individual tourists from Taiwan. Departing from Taichung also makes travel more convenient for central Taiwan residents.
