Shenzhen Evening News (Reporter Zhang Shaoqiong) Recently, a reporter discovered a section of the hiking trail at Tanglangshan Park in Nanshan District where the steps are made up of "tree roots and rocks." The rocks are covered in moss, and the sand beneath the tree roots is very loose, posing serious safety hazards. Although this part of the trail has some unique features, multiple interviewed visitors expressed a desire for it to be renovated due to safety concerns.

The reporter entered through the entrance of the Tanglangshan Park hiking trail. The first 300 steps are made of rocks, with very rough and uneven surfaces. This section of the trail is both steep and high, making it particularly strenuous for children and elderly people to walk on. First-time hikers and visitors at this spot also found it highly inconvenient and physically demanding.

About 200 meters further up from halfway up the mountain, there is a uniquely primitive section of the hiking trail. This section has nearly 100 steps, and because it is mostly surrounded by banyan trees, their roots have deeply grown into the trail. The stone steps here are designed as a combination of "tree roots and rocks." The rocks in this area are covered in moss, some are broken, and the sand beneath certain tree roots has also turned soft. Visitors mentioned that regardless of whether it is rainy or not, the area remains very damp. The reporter observed that the uneven tree roots have been smoothed out by the footsteps of visitors. If one does not distribute their weight evenly, it is easy to slip, especially on the moss-covered stones, which pose an even greater danger.

In response, visitors stated that this section of the hiking trail should be renovated, and they also hope machines can be used to smooth out the uneven rocks. "Nowadays, more and more people are hiking in the park, including many first-time hikers. The park management should pay attention to repairing the defective sections of the trail."

The day before yesterday, the reporter reported the issue to the Tanglangshan Park Management Office. A deputy director surnamed Mo stated that the design of the hiking trail has been in place for many years and has not been changed by the park. Regarding the issues raised by visitors, they will go to the site to investigate and gather feedback from hikers, and will promptly renovate problematic sections of the trail.
