Recently, as the London Olympic Games gradually drew to a close, the Polaris Dream Project—"Bike to London for the Olympics" team arrived in London. After a three-month process to arrange the gift of a dragon scroll to the Queen, this dream journey has now successfully concluded. Starting today, the team members will explore the UK freely and plan to return on the 16th. This young team came together because of a shared dream, set off driven by passion, and pushed beyond limits through perseverance. They rode all the way from Guangzhou in China to the capital Beijing, traveled through seven European countries, and arrived in London after more than three months. Here’s a numerical recap of this extraordinary trip to London.
       A Dream Surpassed
Following the Beijing Olympics, the Guangzhou Asian Games, and the Shenzhen Universiade, Qitianxia collaborated with various sectors of society to organize cycling tours across China and Europe. The aim was for a group of young Chinese (recent graduates) to carry the Beijing Olympic torch, promote the spirit of the Olympics, low-carbon environmentalism, and cultural exchange through their Eurasian cycling journey. Because of one dream, and thanks to persistence and support, the Qitianxia Bicycle Team once again achieved a dream surmounted. This also marks a solid first step toward their decade-long dream of a global study tour.
