Harnessing everyone’s strength – Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area opens for free entry to organize beach cleanups!

The beautiful Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area is opening for free entry Up！But this time, visitors aren’t coming just for fun — it’s to make Shuangchun even better. The area is hosting afreeentry beach cleanup event, hoping that with everyone’s help, they can restore Shuangchun’s scenery and preserve this beautiful landscape for the future.

▲ But due to abnormal weather in recent years, the environment in the park has been affected, so the public is specially invited to enter for free and work towards environmental conservation.

Beimen Shuangchun Coastal Recreation AreaLocated between the Bazhang River and the Jishui River, it is the northernmost coastal area of Tainan City and is operated under contract by Tainan City’s Tourism and Travel Bureau. The park features rich natural landscapes and ecology. By walking along the wooden boardwalks into the interior, visitors can closely explore the mangrove ecosystem, including Kandelia candel, Sonneratia caseolaris, fiddler crabs, and mudskippers. However, in recent years, abnormal weather has led to scattered driftwood within the park, even with abandoned oyster sheds washed up on the beach, while the original sandy beach area has gradually shrunk. Therefore,the public and groups are especially invited to join free entry beach cleanups every Monday starting in September. Those interested are welcome to sign up with the park and work together to restore Shuangchun to its perfect state.
