On September 20, around 180 renowned ski resort executives, equipment and gear brand representatives, ski club and travel agency leaders, along with relevant media reporters, held a "Sword Drawing on Huashan"-style dialogue at the 2012-2013 Beijing Ski Industry Summit. They exchanged insights on ski resort management, explored new developments in the skiing market, and jointly discussed how to promote the healthy growth of China's skiing industry.
Hosted by Outdoor Life Magazine and co-organized by Wanda Changbai Mountain International Resort, the 2012-2013 Beijing Ski Industry Summit focused its discussions on ski resort operations, four-season management, and product upgrades. At the summit, He Ping, Chairman of Junshan Ski Resort, delivered a speech titled "Quantitative Management of Ski Resorts"; Wang Xiaohu, General Manager of Funiu Mountain Ski Resort, spoke on "Exploring Four-Season Operations for Ski Resorts"; Wu Bin, General Manager of Beidahu Ski Resort, presented "Transitioning from Ski Resort to Resort Destination"; and PETER from Alpine Ski shared "Recent Innovations in the International Ski Industry." Wanda Changbai Mountain Resort and Sichuan Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort also shared their construction, operational status, and future development plans through video presentations. Shan Zhaojian, Advisor to the Chinese Ski Association, also gave a speech.

In addition to keynote speeches, the ski industry summit organized three special sessions — a dialogue between ski resorts and equipment suppliers, a product promotion session for Wanda Changbai Mountain Ski Resort, and an exhibition of ski resort equipment and gear. Distinctive displays by companies (and brands) such as Metzeler, NORDICA, Shuohuaji, Bomagasci, Dowmogrip, Burton, Snowfever, and Xueyilan added a unique skiing culture atmosphere to this year’s ski industry summit.
Leaders from 41 ski resorts attended this year’s forum, including those from Beijing Nanshan, Junshan, Huabei, Yuyang, Wanlong Bayi, Qiaobo, Mudanjiang Ma’ershan, Jilin Beidahu, Wanda Changbai Mountain, Lianhuashan, Liaoning Baiqingzhai, Qipanshan, Guaipo, Xinjiang Silk Road, Inner Mongolia Meilin Valley, Hebei Miyuan Yunding, Yulongwan, Shandong Jinshan, Henan Funiu Mountain, Hubei Shennongjia, Sichuan Xiling Snow Mountain, and Zhejiang Daming Mountain. Relevant department leaders such as Tong Lixin, Deputy Director of the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, and Tian Changbo, Chairman of the Beijing Sports Leisure Industry Association, also attended the summit and delivered speeches.
