On September 22, the trash cleanup event "Clearing Niujiaoling in Western Beijing," organized by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall in partnership with Green Field Outdoor Network as part of the "Qingshan Action," was the sixth stop. This trash cleanup event involved three teams with a total of 166 participants. The event saw high enthusiasm from all involved. Amid sunshine, green mountains, clear waters, and white clouds, everyone began picking up trash. Along the way, they passed through a cave and visited the stalactites inside. Through six iterations of the Qingshan Action, it's evident that the initiative has had a significant impact within the outdoor community. During the activity, it was noted that there wasn’t much trash on the mountain, and another group was also spotted carrying bags to collect litter. This shows that the environmental message of "Leave nothing but footprints" has truly taken root.
At 10 a.m., everyone started hiking on schedule and took a group photo at the entrance of Jiuyuan.
The "Qingshan Action" — a large-scale outdoor environmental protection campaign by Orion — is a major eco-friendly initiative organized jointly by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall and Green Field Network, covering Beijing and its surrounding areas. Starting in April 2012, Orion, in collaboration with Green Field, has mobilized outdoor enthusiasts to conduct monthly activities aimed at clearing accumulated trash along hiking trails around Beijing, protecting the environment, and restoring the natural beauty of the green mountains. The "Qingshan Action" aims to "remove trash and restore the natural appearance of the mountains." "Qingshan" implies "clearing mountains," symbolizing environmental protection and harmony with nature.
The third Saturday of every month is designated as "Qingshan Action" Day, on which Green Field Network will rally outdoor enthusiasts to clean up trash along famous hiking routes around Beijing.
Everyone wore Green Field badges in an organized and disciplined manner.
Everyone began heading toward the mountain, with outdoor-loving individuals looking picturesque.
Autumn was gradually setting in the mountains as everyone entered the trailhead, ready to start climbing.
During the "Qingshan Action," team members were seen picking up trash.
They started entering the forest path.
After passing through the woods, they directly entered a cave that contained stalactites.
After leaving the cave, they continued climbing up the mountain.
The results were rewarding.
Everyone successfully reached the "Puppy’s Home" spot.
