In Backpacker magazine's 2012 Fall/Winter Buying Guide issue, the Vasque Snow Junkie UD men's snow boots won the Snow Category Award. This adds another outstanding achievement to the professionalism and technology of Vasque products.
The Snow Junkie UD utilizes a waterproof system with waterproof leather and fabric as well as UltraDry waterproof membrane technology, delivering excellent waterproof and breathable performance. Its Perpetuum wide last ensures a more comfortable fit, while the insulation is provided by 200g of 3M Thinsulate. This new type of insulation material offers the key benefits of warmth and lightweight construction. Compared to down, it has water-resistant properties that down lacks. A weight of 1050g (size 42) indicates that snow boots can also be lighter yet more flexible, fully meeting the demands of winter outdoor activities.
Earlier this year, Vasque sponsored the Backpacker's 2012 Get Out More Tour, an initiative launched by Backpacker magazine. The event aimed to educate outdoor enthusiasts about outdoor activities, conducting classes at outdoor retail stores across 35 U.S. states and 69 cities, achieving excellent results.
