
On November 18, the 2012 "Red Bull 24-Hour" Off-Road Challenge Shenzhen leg successfully concluded.

As the only domestic outdoor extreme event that runs continuously day and night, this year’s Shenzhen edition of the "Red Bull 24-Hour" attracted outdoor enthusiasts from both China and abroad.
According to the competition rules, participants had to complete over 12 alternating events within 24 hours as a team, including trail running, mountain biking, swimming, loaded hiking, camping, rope work, orienteering, and kayaking.

At 8:00 AM on the 18th, the open group also began their competition. This year, the difficulty of the rope events in the open group gradually approached that of the professional group.

To highlight the coastal race characteristics, the organizing committee increased the proportion of water-based competition events this year. The photo shows athletes competing in stand-up paddleboarding, an event making its first appearance in domestic off-road challenges, with participants clearly enjoying themselves.

The "Red Bull 24-Hour" is not only a test of physical strength but also of mental agility. The addition of numerical puzzle games added more variety to the competition.

This year’s kayaking event increased from 9 kilometers last year to 12 kilometers

During a roughly 400-meter kayaking segment, athletes had to dive 2 meters underwater to search for treasures, then continue the kayaking race after retrieving them

In the end, the Kailas Flyer Team won the professional group championship with a time of 21 hours, 14 minutes, and 28.5 seconds. The VAUDE Team and Shenzhen Little Ironman Expansion Instructor Team 2 secured second and third places with times of 22 hours, 21 minutes, 38.6 seconds and 23 hours, 2 minutes, 45 seconds, respectively.
