Exclusive for Taiwanese people only: Free entry to the National Palace Museum Taipei during specified times starting September

To encourage more people to visit museums, the National Palace Museum in Taipei has announced that from September 1 until the end of August 2017, Taiwanese citizens can enjoy free admission to the main exhibition hall after 4:30 PM by presenting their ID.
In addition, the museum also stated that its current promotion allowing Taiwanese citizens to enter the main hall free of charge with ID every Friday and Saturday evening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM will be expanded—now, free entry with ID is available every day after 4:30 PM.
