Gather at Deshengmen at 9:00 AM
On December 22, Beijing, which had just entered the Major Snow solar term, experienced strong winds and a sudden drop in temperature, with biting winter winds making people shiver. However, nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of outdoor enthusiasts for the Green Mountain environmental protection action. Participants gradually gathered at Deshengmen starting at 9:00 AM.
Due to the large number of participants, attendees had to be divided among three buses and arrived in batches.

The official journey began. By noon, the weather was sunny with a light breeze. Due to recent rain and snow in Beijing, temperatures remained low, and mountain paths were covered in a silvery white layer of snow. Team members had to overcome the challenges and trudge through the snow.
The team encountered its first uphill climb, and spirits were high — some hikers even started singing.

After lunch, the team continued on their way. Because they had started a bit late in the morning, the group moved much faster in the afternoon, determined to exit the mountains before dark. However, the middle section of the route was mostly uphill, with bumpy, snowy, and slippery paths. Litter cleanup continued along the way. Many hikers began experiencing fatigue, causing the group to slow down. The team leader and the sweep encouraged everyone to push forward more quickly.

At 3:30 PM, the team successfully reached the summit. By then, the mountain had begun to get colder, with strong winds picking up. Team leader Kaile decided to have the group descend quickly, with the primary goal of getting everyone out of the mountains before it got much colder.

At 5:30 PM, the entire team exited the mountains. Team leaders and sweepers conducted a headcount, and the collected litter was disposed of collectively. Everyone then continued their journey back together on the green public buses.
The 10th stop of the Green Mountain Action was a complete success thanks to the joint efforts of all the hikers. This edition of the "Green Mountain Action" had its moments of suspense, but fortunately, the entire team emerged safely from the mountains. It is hoped that the "Green Mountain Action" will inspire more people to take action, making the skies bluer and the mountains greener. Of course, it’s best if everyone avoids littering during outings and disposes of waste properly in trash bins, so that future "Green Mountain Actions" will no longer have to deal with any litter at all!
