In October 2012, PQI made a comeback with a brand-new product line, which was immediately met with enthusiasm from the market. Now, PQI products have begun appearing in stores across the country—from entry-level USB 2.0 drives to high-end wireless Air products. With its consistent focus on premium quality, PQI has earned recognition in the market.
In terms of products, we found that PQI is targeting the mid-to-high-end market. Regarding distribution, PQI uses an exclusive general agent system, having appointed Shenzhen Xingruiqi Photoelectric Co., Ltd. as its general agent for all product lines in China, responsible for all sales and after-sales services in mainland China.

Our market visit found that PQI’s current product offerings include USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and premium USB 3.0 drives. The personal cloud series includes: Air Pen, Air Bank, Air Drive, and more. In the mobile power bank category, PQI offers multiple capacities: 7800mAh, 5600mAh, 5000mAh, and 2200mAh. The product range is comprehensive and diverse.
Here, we’d especially like to recommend a PQI product called the Air Cam—a camera designed for underwater or extreme sports use. It features a 170-degree wide-angle lens, Full HD 1080p video quality, and 5-megapixel high-resolution imaging. It comes with a camera clip, bicycle mount, and adhesive mount, allowing you to securely attach the PQI Air Cam to almost any object and easily capture exciting moments. For the lens, PQI has designed a dedicated protective filter that can be replaced based on actual usage to extend the lens’s lifespan.
More importantly, it also supports the PQI Air Card—a storage card compatible with both Wi-Fi and SD functions. It features a microSD slot, supports speeds up to Class 10, and capacities up to 32GB. You can adjust the capacity according to your needs and enjoy the instant photo-sharing feature, eliminating the frustration of not being able to view or share your amazing shots right after taking them. To use it, simply insert the included PQI Air Card into the slot, and when the camera is operating, the Wi-Fi function will automatically activate—no extra setup needed, making it easy and user-friendly.
With PQI returning to the Chinese market and launching such a broad product line, as well as choosing Shenzhen Xingruiqi Photoelectric—which holds the Samsung storage agency—as its exclusive general agent, one can’t help but wonder if this market strategy signals PQI’s intention to push high-end storage products hard in 2013 and implement strict market control. What impact will the returning PQI have on the existing storage industry landscape in mainland China? We’ll be watching closely.
