From September 1 to December 1, the National Palace Museum will trial conditional photography and videography within exhibition hallsAdditionally, from September 1 to August 31, 2017, domestic visitors can enjoy free admission to the museum’s Northern Branch upon presenting their ID card.

In the past, the National Palace Museum prohibited photography and videography. During this trial period, conditional photography will be allowed in exhibition halls, including for ancient artifacts such as bronze ware, jade items, and porcelain. The museum stated that for artifacts not permitted to be photographed, clear signage will be displayed. Group photos are not allowed inside exhibition halls, and the use of flash, supplemental lighting, tripods, selfie sticks, and other aids is prohibited. Please avoid affecting safety routes or the viewing experience of others while taking photos.

AdditionallyThe Northern Branch of the National Palace Museum will implement free admission for domestic visitors after 4:30 PM daily from September 1 to August 31, 2017, upon presenting an ID document.Starting August 30, the Southern Branch also offers shuttle services for visitors with mobility impairments.
