When Friday rolled around, how could someone like me, who lives for fun, stay put at the office? So first thing in the morning, my heart was already flying off to Jilin, ten thousand miles away. As soon as work ended, I quickly grabbed my board and luggage and headed straight for Beijing Railway Station. Several team leaders were already waiting for us at the station. After checking in, I saw lots of familiar and unfamiliar fellow skiers—turns out the group was pretty big this time, especially the “Scientists” crew, a lively bunch of brothers and sisters, about a dozen strong. That really thrilled me, as I love a good crowd. They’re regulars at Beidahu. I heard them say that March 9th and 10th will be the 3rd Beidahu International Ski Carnival, and there’ll be an event called “Apocalypse Snow V Binge Art? Cultural Activity” over the weekend, with a grand prize of 100,000 yuan up for grabs. Haha, someone like me simply must join in. Looks like I’ll have a great chance to learn from these seniors these next couple of days. Who knows, maybe I’ll win the big prize? Ahahaha, okay, back to reality now!! On the T271 train, I truly felt how Beidahu Ski Resort, to make things convenient for us snow-loving enthusiasts, had launched this all-inclusive “one-price” special package. Services like direct access via special train, shuttle transfers, and hotel bookings were incredibly convenient. Looking around the train, I noticed almost everyone was part of our group. Haha, a special train really is something special—truly living up to its reputation O(∩_∩)O!!
At around 7 a.m. on February 23rd, we finally arrived at Jilin Station. Without even bothering to rest after the long journey, under the organization of our professional guides, we grabbed our gear and boarded the resort’s shuttle bus, speeding off. Pretending to be all artsy, I leaned against the window, gazing at the snow-covered landscape, dazzlingly beautiful, and quietly cheered inside, “Hooray~~ I’m here again!!”
Around 8 a.m., the bus finally pulled into Beidahu. I have to give credit where it’s due—the air here is so fresh. The moment I got off, I couldn’t wait to take a deep breath. That cool air rushed straight from my nose into my lungs, traveling through every part of my body, giving me an instant jolt. Cool~~ That’s exactly the feeling I wanted. Haha.
After a short rest at the hotel I’d booked, I followed the other skiers to the slopes. Looking around, the thick layer of powder snow covering the entire resort gave me an indescribable feeling—was it excitement or awe? Hard to put into words. Skiers dressed in brightly colored outfits were either racing freely down the runs or scattered around resting and chatting. It was truly a feast for both the eyes and the soul.
The most visually striking part of this trip was the “Scientists” group I met on the special train. They were all about showing off, sharing, and having a blast~~~. Haha~~ On their Weibo, I found the special feature they made after returning. Compared to my own pile of unimpressive photos, I decided to give them a little plug~~ Here, I’ve decided to share some of it with you all.

Just looking at these photos makes me start reminiscing about those two wonderful days on the slopes. The beautiful rime ice, the thick powder snow, the bright sunshine—it was truly an unforgettable experience that makes your mouth water~~~ Actually, no need for words. Just looking at these photos, I know you’ve already been immersed in this pristine white world~~ Snap out of it, this is just one part of it, haha~

Looking at their poses and the energy—they really nailed it. These photos turned out amazing, like magazine covers. Dude, I have to ask—were you trained in magazine cover photography?.. Too bad I didn’t think to have him take one of me. Otherwise, I’d be an internet sensation in no time, haha.
Next up are their group formation shots. Shooting formations is definitely a skill—you have to capture those cool, dynamic moments while avoiding any accidental or awkward shots. Just thinking about it makes me feel for the photographer. But the final results? Pretty great~~ Haha

How cool is that? You have no idea, these are just one percent of their awesome moves. It’s just a shame photos are static. So, I’m planning to bring a video camera next time I ski and film all the amazing people into an album. Wa-ha-ha~~ Actually, I’ve thought about this many times before, but this time I WILL make it happen!!
As someone who pretends to be artsy, I’ve decided not to just stare out the window daydreaming—I’ll use words to show another side of me!! Cough cough~~ Here goes!! “In this cynical world, in this romantic era, how rare it is to find a group of people who are crazy with you, playful with you, and share your passions. Along this journey, it’s all because we’re passionate about skiing that we brave the cold and pain. When success comes, we’re filled with joy….. Ugh~~ Can you still tell I’m talking about skiing? I feel like I’m turning into a poet…. Better get back to my normal self—otherwise, you’ll all start throwing bricks. Well, what I really mean is that skiing is endlessly fun, and having a bunch of wild friends to mess around and party with is really great. Scroll on for the pics!!

Here I’d also like to express my fondness and respect for the Scientists group—thank you so much for meeting you all, it made me really happy!! In the future, I want to have my own ski crew too—you guys are my inspiration…. Am I being too cheesy?? Eh…
Alright, enough borrowing others’ thunder…(mostly because my photography skills are honestly not great), let’s briefly talk about the rest of the trip. The first day was pretty much spent having fun with everyone, and the second day was the same—we skied in small groups or played around together, fully enjoying the joy that Beidahu brings. At night, the guides took us to a nearby farmhouse for dinner. No doubt about it, northeasterners are super hospitable. The farmhouse was cozy, the food was varied, and the portions were huge. The iron pot fish was absolutely delicious—I have to post two photos to recommend it properly. Are you drooling yet? Hehe, envy away~ There was also northeastern sticky rice balls, chicken stewed with mushrooms, the signature northeastern pork and vermicelli stew, dipping sauces with veggies, and so much more. Oh no, I can’t go on, or I’ll start drooling again. Don’t judge me—I’m someone who loves both adventure and food!!
After stuffing ourselves with food and drink, it was time to head back. Parting is such sweet sorrow~~ The separation is right before our eyes~~ %>_<<%这首歌跟开头我刚准备出发的时候哼的歌，真是截然不同啊，没办法，两天的时间过得太快了！而且我比较伤心的是，下个礼拜的狂欢节我不能来亲身参与了，但是心中各种羡慕嫉妒恨呐~！！准备3月底再来一次封板之旅。谁都不要拦着我啊，姐们我已经在心里决定了！！
