Jointly organized by the Travel Channel of China.com.cn and Nanjing Stuttgart Joint Exhibition Co., Ltd., the "China.com.cn Tourism Summit Forum '2013 Quest in Jinling'" forum, themed "Diagnosing Opportunities, Challenges, Innovation, and Upgrading in China's Resort Tourism," was grandly held on the afternoon of March 16, 2013, at the Jinling Conference Center of the Nanjing International Expo Center.
The forum consisted of several segments, including speeches by the organizers, keynote addresses by distinguished guests, and a roundtable discussion. Guests and representatives from the Publicity Department of the Nanjing Municipal Committee, Jiangsu Tourism Society, German Stuttgart Tourism Board, Beijing Kyoto Landscape Eco-Tourism Planning and Design Institute, China.com.cn, leading resort tourism enterprises, and media gathered to pool ideas and jointly map out the development blueprint for China's resort tourism.
The road ahead is long; I shall search high and low. Resort tourism in China has broad prospects but also faces many contradictions and challenges. Through the platform of the China.com.cn Tourism Summit Forum '2013 Quest in Jinling,' and via exchanges and cooperation among government departments, industry experts, scholars, and enterprises, the clash of ideas among elites provided answers to these challenges and offered theoretical support and intellectual backing for the future development of China's resort tourism.
