Huangshan Hosts a Mass Hiking and Leisure Event

　　On April 8, 2013, athletes were seen during the mass hiking event in Huangshan. On that day, the China Huangshan Scenic Area held a mass hiking and leisure event themed “Beautiful Huangshan, Happy and Healthy.” The event saw the participation of over 10,000 people forming 13 teams, including hiking enthusiasts from more than 10 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country, as well as local residents of Huangshan, university students and faculty, and international tourists. Led by former main torchbearer of the World University Games Li Luya, the thousands of hikers started their journey from the South Gate of Huangshan, passed through the Cloud Valley Temple and White Goose Ridge, and reached the North Sea Square at an altitude of over 1,600 meters. The total distance was approximately 16 kilometers. Hosting this hiking and leisure event is a concrete measure to implement and promote the National Tourism and Leisure Outline, aiming to advance deeper integration of tourism and sports, and to further encourage national tourism and leisure activities.
