On April 20th, in the scenic city of Dalian, China's first civilian 100-kilometer trail race kicked off. This event featured a cumulative elevation gain of 4,250 meters for the 100km category, with a 24-hour cutoff time, and attracted 240 runners from both China and abroad in its very first edition. Tecnica, along with members of the TTT (Tecnica Trail Running Team), also participated in this race.

Although it was the first edition, Yu Lei, Secretary-General of the Dalian Mountaineering Association and organizer of the event, had previously told reporters that while ultra-long-distance endurance running has gained global popularity, similar events in mainland China are relatively rare, and those aligned with international standards are even fewer. Unlike other races, all finishers in this one would step onto the podium—even the champion received no cash prize. The volunteers for this race were mostly university students, and their attentive service, patient guidance, and bright smiles became the most cherished memories for the runners at the Dalian 100.
