Recently, the Cycling Club of the Beijing Vanguard Sports Association held its third cycling fitness event at the Olympic Water Park, alongside a traffic safety awareness campaign initiated and promoted by the Municipal Public Security Bureau’s Traffic Management Bureau. Fu Zhenghua, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, attended the event.
Police officers from the Traffic Management Bureau expressed the determination of traffic police “to contribute to promoting green travel and building better traffic order.” Together with cycling enthusiasts from the Municipal Cycling Association, they issued an initiative to the public: “Civilized traffic, green travel, starting with me.”
The Traffic Management Bureau divided the event site into three zones, organizing female traffic police ambassadors, student representatives, parents, and teachers to participate in three activities: “Traffic Safety Knowledge Quiz with Prizes,” “Interactive Traffic Safety Education Equipment Experience,” and “Traffic Safety Board Game.” These activities aimed to educate students and parents about traffic safety and promote green travel. In a temporary “Children's Traffic Safety Scenario Education Base,” kids also rode bicycles on simulated roads to experience green travel.
