On May 4th, with the exciting first ascents by 9-year-old Zhang Yueting, the difficulty and speed champion of the National Youth Climbing Championships from Shenzhen, and Lili, the bouldering champion of the Yangshuo International Climbing Festival and the Pioneer Challenge of Wilderness Survival, the climbing wall at SALEWA ROCKSHOW 2013’s first stop in Beijing’s Jinyuan Yansha Mall was ignited once more by the passion of over 70 university students from Beijing and Tianjin as well as local climbing enthusiasts.
The SALEWA ROCKSHOW climbing series originated in Europe and aims to foster exchange and sharing through a series of climbing events. The series has reached over 10 countries including Germany, Italy, France, Russia, and South Korea, and is a classic summer event of SALEWA, the top European mountaineering and outdoor brand with a 78-year history. Since officially launching in China in 2011, the ROCKSHOW climbing series has gained increasing attention and participation from climbing and outdoor enthusiasts over the past three years of promotion, helping to advance the development of climbing activities and brand awareness.
