American woman wears a gown to climb a mountain over 1,000 meters high.
If you decide to climb a mountain as high as 14,000 feet (about 4,267 meters), most people would probably choose to wear sportswear or casual clothes. However, one American woman climbed Mount Rainier in Washington wearing a ball gown, complete with a crown and elbow-length gloves. Her outfit stood in stark contrast to other hikers nearby, who were dressed in jeans and other casual wear.
According to the UK's Daily Mail, the woman shared photos of her unusual mountain-climbing adventure online. The photos show her lifting the hem of her long dress as she hikes, while most other climbers around her are dressed in jeans, short-sleeved shirts, and fleece jackets.
The woman said online that she only felt “enjoyment” during the climb. She said: “Life isn’t always about proving something. Sometimes life is just about enjoyment. I didn’t climb the mountain to prove anything—I had no agenda.”
