Interior renovation progress not as expected: Haidilao Hotpot Banqiao branch postpones trial operation

The much-anticipated Hai Di Lao Banqiao No. 2 Branch was originally scheduled to begin trial operations on May 24, but on the evening of the 23rd, the official fan page posted an announcement stating that due to interior renovation issues, the branch would not be able to commence trial operations as planned on May 24. The announcement also included a sincere apology to fans. No new opening date has been given, only a promise to reopen as soon as possible with an improved appearance and better service.

Aside from branch opening information, Taiwanese Hai Di Lao recently received feedback from consumers reporting the emergence of a company in Taiwan similar to Hai Di Lao, claiming to be the second brand of Hai Di Lao. Both its products and logo were so similar as to be nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. Hai Di Lao issued a stern statement clarifying that, at present, apart from the four directly operated stores already under contract in Taipei City, Banqiao, Taichung, and Hsinchu, there are no other subsidiaries or sub-brands in Taiwan.
