The 2013 Asia Outdoor Trade Show opened on the morning of July 24, with the award ceremony for the 4th Asia Outdoor Industry Awards in the afternoon becoming the highlight of the first day of the exhibition.
The concept of the Asia Outdoor Industry Awards originates from the European Outdoor Industry Awards, and it was established with the initial goal of providing a strong platform for outstanding products. The judging panel includes members from the Jiangsu Provincial Industrial Design Society, mountaineering schools, professional buyers, independent outdoor media writers, outdoor product designers, mountaineers, and more. The awards were presented to the winning brands by Wilman, President of Messe Friedrichshafen GmbH, the German partner, and Jaeger, Consultant of the Asia Outdoor Trade Show.
At 3:30 in the afternoon, the award ceremony for the Asia Outdoor Industry Awards was held in the AB Landing Hall. Twenty-one products stood out from nearly 100 entries, including 3 gold awards, 1 eco award, 1 China Original Design Award, and 17 silver awards. Among them, SUNREE’s CC Rechargeable Multi-functional Camping Light won both the Gold Award and the China Original Design Award. Moreover, this year’s Asia Outdoor Industry Awards saw numerous domestic brands receiving accolades, reflecting the growing emphasis and maturity of domestic brands on design.
All award-winning products must demonstrate unique advantages in design, functionality, and innovation. Among the winning products, the Eco Award particularly highlights sustainability in materials and production processes, while the Gold Award must reflect an unlimited pursuit of perfection, design, and innovation.
