The 2013 Beijing Pinggu Jinhai Lake Mountain Hardwear Sanfo Outdoor Triathlon ended smoothly at 16:58 local time with the strong backing of the Pinggu District Government, the Sports Bureau, and various municipal departments. A grand awards and closing ceremony was held at the Jinhai Lake scenic area, attended by Mr. Qu Zhiqi, Deputy District Chief of Pinggu District People’s Government, who presented awards alongside Mr. Zhang Heng, Founder and General Manager of Sanfo Outdoor.
Pinggu — Building a National Outdoor Sports Base
2013 marked the first time the Sanfo Outdoor Triathlon was held in Pinggu District, Beijing, receiving high attention from the Pinggu District Government and the Sports Bureau. Extensive support was provided in terms of route planning, as well as event safety and rescue services. Thanks to the comprehensive backing of the District Government and the Sports Bureau, what was originally a challenging triathlon blossomed into a warm and successful event.
In recent years, Pinggu District has significantly increased investment in sports industry development. The Pinggu District Sports Center, with an investment of over 300 million yuan, is nearing completion and will soon be fully operational. The China Sports Media Building has also been established in Pinggu. A series of large-scale, high-standard sports facilities have been built and put into use, including the Beijing Pinggu International Hiking Trail, Yuyang International Ski Resort, Tianpan Mountain Outdoor Sports Base, Shichahai Sports School Pinggu Training Base, National Youth Outdoor Sports Beijing Camp, and Beijing Golf Team Training Base. Pinggu is the first district in the city to achieve “national fitness programs, basketball courts, and table tennis rooms in every village,” with per capita sports activity area reaching 4 square meters. The district's sports facilities have gradually become multifunctional, diversified, standardized, and fully covered. For three consecutive terms, the district has been honored as a National Advanced District/County for Mass Sports. Now, we are fully committed to building a national outdoor sports base and a national-level sports industry base. We believe there will be even more in-depth collaboration between Sanfo Outdoor and Pinggu in the future.
