As of August 21, 2013, all 12 team members and 4 coaches of the 2013 Kailas Mountaineering Team from the Lingfeng Society at Beihang University successfully summited Banji Peak, situated deep in the Bipenggou Tourist Scenic Area in Li County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, at an elevation of 5,430 meters. Even more remarkably, during the ascent, the team also excelled in carrying out environmentally friendly mountaineering practices by installing environmental protection signs at the BC camp (base camp) of the peak. On August 22, 2013, all team members safely withdrew from Banji Peak, marking the successful completion of the 2013 Beihang Lingfeng Society Mountaineering Team’s summer climbing mission.
