Unsurprisingly, the odds of winning this month’s car license plate lottery have become even more challenging. Tomorrow, over 1.66 million individuals will participate in the draw, with the winning ratio estimated at about 90 to 1.
According to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport’s Small Vehicle Quota Management Office, as of 24:00 on October 8, 2013, there were 1,662,527 valid individual applications and 55,418 valid corporate applications for car license plates.
Additionally, 815 unused individual car license quotas from the March 26 draw remain, meaning this round will issue 18,415 individual quotas and 3,200 corporate quotas. The lottery will be open to the media, with live online streaming provided by Capital Window.
