The two-day 2013 Huangpi Mulanshan National Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge concluded in Huangpi, Wuhan, with 100 athletes from 25 outdoor sports teams across the country participating. In the end, the KOLUMB Gelunbu outdoor team secured third place.
The first day’s race started from Huangpi No. 3 Middle School, passed by sites including the Mulanshan Bridge and the Mulan Ancient Trail, and ultimately headed to Shengjing Square, covering a total distance of 40.4 kilometers. The Gelunbu team experienced a kayak leak, which cost them a lot of time and energy, but they caught up to third place in the cycling and cross-country running segments.
On the third day, after completing a 47-kilometer competition that included mountain biking, kayaking, cross-country skills, and trail running, the athletes reached the finish line at the Golden Summit of Mulanshan. Gelunbu secured second place that day.
