According to railway authorities, to meet the demand of winter ski passengers, Harbin Railway Bureau has temporarily adjusted the passenger train timetable and will launch a “ski special train” between Harbin and Yabuli South starting December 15.
The passenger train between Harbin and Yabuli South is an adjustment to the operating section of the original K7047/48 Harbin–Mudanjiang passenger train. The new K7047 runs from Harbin to Yabuli South, and the new K7048 runs from Yabuli South to Harbin, both commencing on December 15. The original K7047 from Harbin to Mudanjiang and the original K7048 from Mudanjiang to Harbin will be suspended as of December 15.
Yabuli South Station is a railway station built in 2007 and is the terminus of the “Weiya Railway,” which stretches 24.24 kilometers from Weihe to Yabuli South. Since the conclusion of the 24th Winter Universiade in 2008, Harbin Railway Bureau has temporarily adjusted the train timetable every ski season to operate a dedicated “ski special train” in response to the needs of skiing enthusiasts.
Railway authorities remind passengers that tickets for the “ski special train” are now on sale. Booking can be done via telephone, online channels, as well as at stations and authorized ticket outlets.
