On January 12, Huairou will host the second Freestyle Snowboard Park Contest. The success of the first edition provided valuable experience for this event. The impressive performances of the athletes are still fresh in our memories — Xiao Yuan’s 360 spin, Baozi’s backflip and 720 spin, as well as other contestants’ stunning trick combinations on the features… all were truly breathtaking.
This year’s contest will follow the format of the previous one: the morning jam session will feature a points-based competition where athletes freely choose features to perform their tricks and earn scores to determine the top 8 who will advance to the finals in the afternoon. To encourage more athletes to take part in freestyle competitions, the Snow Domain Peak Huá MOVEMENT brand is sponsoring this event and offering a prize purse of ten thousand yuan.
