China’s premier fitness and health industry exhibition—2014 China (Shanghai) International Fitness & Health Rehabilitation Equipment Exhibition (abbreviated as “IWF2014”)—will be grandly held from March 13 to 15, 2014, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, and will also feature the concurrent “Maybauhe 2014 China Fitness Industry Summit.”
It is reported that the “Maybauhe 2014 China Fitness Industry Summit” is jointly organized by the China National Light Industry Council for Cultural, Educational & Sports Goods, Maybauhe Fitness Industry Group, co-organized by the Beijing Fitness Equipment Distribution Association, and co-hosted by Beijing Maybauhe Fitness Equipment Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Dena Exhibition Service Co., Ltd.
Currently, with the rise of the national fitness movement and driven by the broader concept of wellness, the fitness industry—beyond traditional marketing channels—is also entering the E-era. The low-cost and rapidly expanding channels offered by e-commerce (B2C platforms) have attracted an increasing number of fitness clubs and organizations to venture into the field of e-commerce and explore new sales avenues. However, for the emerging B2C channels within the fitness industry to truly thrive, businesses, clubs, and organizations must not only strengthen their internal capabilities but also seriously consider questions such as “What value does e-commerce bring?” “What kind of fitness B2C model meets consumer needs?” “How can electronic marketing be effectively done in the E-era?” and “How can the fitness industry innovate its profit models?”
It is reported that this year’s 【Maybauhe 2014 China Fitness & Health Industry Summit】 is themed “The Marketing Revolution in the E-era.” How the fitness industry can leverage its strengths, seize the market opportunities brought by rising consumer demand, engage in integrated marketing during the e-commerce explosion, develop online sales markets, harness the driving and guiding role of e-commerce, and further accelerate the transformation of development methods and structural adjustments in traditional business sectors will be key focal points of consensus at this summit. Meanwhile, to foster a healthy industry cycle and promote sustainable development, in addition to the thematic summit on “The Marketing Revolution in the E-era,” the event will also host the inaugural “Maybauhe Cup Best Fitness Trainers’ Physical Fitness Competition,” “Club CEOs’ Practical Role Model Sharing Session,” “Club CEOs’ Themed Salon,” and multiple marketing training sessions. Industry authoritative association leaders, representatives from leading domestic fitness industry enterprises, domestic e-commerce giants, presidents of top national chain fitness clubs, specially invited lecturers from Tsinghua University’s CEO program, and renowned marketing experts have all been invited to attend the summit, bringing together a top-tier gathering where elite minds collide, and guiding the creation of new and innovative profit models.
