If "good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere," then the girls in the office can hardly be considered good girls. None of the ten ladies are locals—all come from other places, as far as the far northeast of China, as near as the neighboring county. This tiny office could practically serve as a "model site for migrant workers."
As the saying goes, three women make a drama—but ten women make an entire TV series. When these ten girls get together… tsk tsk tsk, as one of their male colleagues put it, "a flock of little sparrows who wandered into the internet world!"
"Come quick, I won something yesterday!" As soon as Monday work began, Lulu couldn’t wait to pull out her phone.
"How much did you win? You look so happy—did you win five million?" Big Bear, an IT guy carrying a water cup, asked curiously as he walked by.
"If I won five million, I wouldn’t be here!"
"Then where would you be? Dongguan or Harbin?" Big Bear has a knack for stirring up the girls’ rage with just one line—truly worthy of being called Bear Bro.
"Can you show some decency?! None of your business, just go away!" Lulu didn’t even glance up as she spoke, meanwhile tapping on her phone to show the others.
"Let me see, what did you win?" Little Pepper, always loving the drama, was the first to crowd around.
"I was bored at home yesterday and was just browsing the web. I saw this event on a forum, threw in a couple of comments, and didn’t expect to actually win. Geez, something like this only happens once every eight hundred years!"
"What’s the prize?" Just as everyone started bombarding Lulu with questions, Yingying, who was eating breakfast, put down her steamed bun and asked the crucial question: "What forum?"
"I think it was 'Taiwan Expert'—I forgot the exact forum name, but I remember 'Taiwan Expert.' All of you should check out the website; they have lots of events, and the winning rate is super high. I bet the boss of that site is loaded!" Lulu loves nothing more than getting everyone to do what she does.
No sooner had she spoken than everyone scattered like birds and beasts, rushing back to their computers and furiously typing away. Sure enough—it was Taiwan Expert (www.taiwandaren.com/index.htm), and sure enough there were events, and the prizes were Taiwanese goods.
……
A week later, packages kept arriving one after another in the office, all prizes sent from the Taiwan Expert website. "Do you think our office might’ve swept all the prizes for this event?" Little Pepper said slyly.
"What are you afraid of? It’s not like you’re paying for the prizes. Just take them!" Lulu said triumphantly.
"Which website did you guys do the event on? Tell me, will you?" Big Bear finally couldn’t hold back and asked Little Pepper in his usual cheeky tone.
"We were making such a fuss, and you didn’t notice? It was Taiwan Expert (www.taiwandaren.com/index.htm). Ah, go check if there are any new events—you definitely missed out this time, haha~~"
