    Did you know that these everyday items familiar to urban children are considered luxuries for kids in rural primary schools across central and western China.
    In 2014, the China Youth Development Foundation’s “Challenge 8 Hours” charity hiking & trail running event will set off again to build “Project Hope Happy Sports Fields” for rural primary schools in central and western China.
You can join us in hiking, or you can volunteer with us. Regardless of profession or gender, as long as you are between 16 and 60 years old, in good health, and passionate about public welfare, we sincerely invite you to take part in this outdoor charity event.

III. How to Participate
1. Register as a volunteer team, with 5–15 members per team;
2. Visit the official event website at http://hiking.cydf.org.cn to register your volunteer team, then click “Volunteer Application” under “Volunteer Service” to complete and submit the relevant information;
3. Phone registration: Please call 010-64790533/64790892
4. Registration deadline: June 1, 2014. Confirmation calls from the event organizers will be made before June 5.

IV. What You Can Gain
1. A volunteer certificate issued by the China Youth Development Foundation;
2. Pre-event group training, as well as transportation to and from the designated location on the day of the event, working meals, uniform clothing, and personal accident insurance.

    The “Challenge 8 Hours” charity hiking & trail running event is a public fundraising activity organized by the China Youth Development Foundation. With perseverance and determination throughout the event, participants aim to inspire those around them to support and engage in public welfare.
