The third stop of the Shenzhen Himalaya Professional Staff Training Program concluded successfully in Shenyang. Outdoor professionals, shop managers, and local outdoor enthusiasts from across the northeastern provinces gathered to learn about specialized gear. Since the launch of the "Professional Staff Training Program" in Beijing in 2013, numerous training courses have been conducted in North, East, and Northeast China. It is reported that the next stop of the "Professional Staff Training Program" is scheduled for April 23–24 at Xinghua Hotel in Shenzhen.
The "Professional Staff Training Program" is a long-term, open initiative proposed by Shenzhen Himalaya aimed at enhancing the outdoor expertise of retail staff. In response to the common demand from outdoor retailers for more systematic training and communication platforms to improve professionalism among both stores and staff, Shenzhen Himalaya—primarily an agent for high-end outdoor products—timely launched this training course.
The professional staff training curriculum is organized according to the product structure of specialized outdoor shops, covering climbing, hiking and camping, and outdoor footwear and apparel. The high-quality outdoor gear distributed by Shenzhen Himalaya includes equipment essential for climbing and trekking. Starting with climbing gear brand Black Diamond (BD), the program also introduced camping products from Cascade Designs’ brands such as MSR, THERMAREST, Platypus, SealLine, and Packtowl. Apparel knowledge covered BD’s professional clothing line, Outdoor Research (OR) apparel and accessories, while footwear focused on American brand VASQUE and Italian brand Zamberlan.
At the first 2014 training session in Shenyang, Shenzhen Himalaya also showcased new 2014 models and high-tech products from its various brands for the northeastern outdoor retail community and enthusiasts. In 2014, BD launched the revolutionary anti-avalanche product—the JetForce technology airbag backpack with built-in fan inflation. This is the world's first and currently the only avalanche airbag backpack that utilizes a battery and fan system. During the training, Shenzhen Himalaya staff explained in detail to participants from the northeast the working principles and operation of this avalanche protection system. The 2013 autumn/winter clothing line introduced by Black Diamond (BD) was also presented. Much like its gear, BD apparel is designed with intuitive design, rigorous construction, and fine craftsmanship, continuing the legacy of its equipment to meet the needs of the alpine community, including climbers and skiers. The technology and concepts behind BD apparel were another key highlight of the training.
The northeastern region boasts abundant forested areas and natural powder snow resources, offering great advantages for outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing. Through professional staff training, sales associates can not only build stronger communication and rapport with customers but also convey accurate gear knowledge and outdoor safety awareness to outdoor enthusiasts. This helps promote regional outdoor sports development and injects energy into sustainable growth. Shenzhen Himalaya will continue to spare no effort in advancing the domestic outdoor sports industry.
