2014 Beijing MIDI Music Festival Camping Area Guide
1,Entry and Exit Procedures: As per tradition, the Beijing MIDI Camp officially opens on April 30th to provide convenient services for fans arriving early. Campers should first check in at the camping area before deciding when to head to the music festival site—the two areas are less than 300 meters apart. To ensure the safety of campers, the MIDI Camp requires real-name registration with ID cards. All campers must remember to bring their ID cards (foreign guests should present a valid passport). Registration desks will be set up at the entrance to the camping area, where fans can exchange their festival tickets (multi-day or single-day) and ID cards for a MIDI Camp wristband upon passing security checks before entering the camp. The camping area wristband allows free entry and exit. Please also keep your festival ticket safe—it’s your key to the festival gates.
2,Food and Drinks in the MIDI Camp: Open fires and cooking are not allowed in the camping area, but you can stock up on essentials such as food, drinks, and bottled water in advance. The festival’s food street offers a wide variety of snacks to satisfy your appetite, including some famous dishes you can only try at MIDI. Additionally, west of the camping area entrance (turn left after exiting the camp) there are restaurants offering different cuisines, such as Lanzhou beef noodles, Chengdu snacks, and Wushan grilled fish. For outdoor activities, please pay attention to food hygiene and consider bringing some essential medications.
3,Safety Tips for the MIDI Camp: The MIDI Music Festival is held at Kuangbiao Amusement Park, which is located in a mountainous area and is a strictly controlled fire prevention zone. Open flames are prohibited in the camping area, and smoking is not allowed. However, we have set up a designated smoking area near the camping area entrance. All campers are required to cooperate with security checks upon entry. Please do not bring controlled knives, alcohol stoves, gas stoves, or other open-flame devices, nor barbecue charcoal. Lighters are also not permitted in the camping area. The festival site is close to nearby villages, so after the event ends, please return to the camping area as early as possible. Camping Area Showers:
The MIDI Camp area at Kuangbiao Amusement Park does not have shower facilities, but there is a public bathhouse west of the camping area entrance (turn left after exiting the camp) that can accommodate dozens of people showering simultaneously. Showers are available from 8:00 to 24:00, at an affordable price of 7 RMB per person. It’s less than a 5-minute walk from the camping area. Please plan your bathing time accordingly to avoid peak hours. We will gradually improve the hardware services in the camping area. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Other Services in the Camping Area:
