On a day in early June 2014, when your plane lands at Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, you won’t be dragging your luggage to wait for an airport bus or standing in a long queue for a taxi; instead, you’ll head to a car rental company outside the airport, provide the staff with your personal information, driver’s license, and credit card as reserved when booking the vehicle, and then receive the car keys, stylishly driving off in the car you carefully selected to begin a one-of-a-kind journey through Qiandao Lake.
