Amid the rich aroma of bamboo leaves and deep camaraderie among military fans, the First China Military Culture Festival (Special Section: http://military.china.com/jswhj/), jointly organized by China.com.cn and China Radio International's Global News Radio, successfully concluded on June 2 at Beijing's Rongqing Ecological Park. Spanning three days, the event gathered a wealth of resources including military experts, industry professionals, media outlets, and military enthusiasts. Data shows that by noon on the second day, the festival had attracted 20,000 visitors. The 20,000-square-meter ecological park venue transformed into a "military enthusiast camp," becoming a vibrant cultural gathering where fans united and showcased their passion.

The festival featured 50 exhibitors showcasing a variety of items such as miniature tank models, action figure models, war scrolls, battle strategies, qualification badges, medals, military flags, armbands, and cap insignias—totaling over 300 collectibles. Additionally, the event received extensive online and offline coverage from more than 100 media outlets, with the military channel page surpassing 1.1 million page views. These key figures reflect the high regard and recognition military enthusiasts have for China’s military culture. The festival also set the record for the largest offline event in the industry.

A high-level forum themed "Military Trends in a Diverse Era" brought together experts from academia, industry, and research to engage in lively discussions about the current state and future trends of China’s military culture. Senior Colonel Yan Jun, editor-in-chief of China National Defense News - Military Special Edition, noted that the current hotspot in military culture is online military content. Emerging online media platforms, represented by China.com.cn, have left a profound impression on traditional military media professionals. The internet has united scattered military personnel and civilians, and without it, military culture would struggle to resonate deeply. His insightful perspective was widely endorsed by all participants.

As a leading disseminator in the military field and China’s most visited military website, China.com.cn Military sees millions of enthusiasts browsing daily for the latest military developments and global updates. The festival was organized to better implement central directives, fulfill the mission of promoting military culture, and educate the public on national defense. The China Military app has also been launched, with downloads exceeding 300,000, serving as a platform for fans to showcase their "moments" and share their vibrant lives.

Earlier this year, China.com.cn launched three major development strategies: mobile strategy, industry strategy, and regional strategy. It is the only commercial website in China to offer a multilingual omnimedia platform, covering 12 languages including Chinese, English, Russian, Japanese, and Spanish. This enables global outreach, providing users with internationally informed news and internet services, while offering clients international exposure.

The China Military Culture Festival concluded on the final day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, leaving an unforgettable impression and making a lasting mark for military enthusiasts. We believe that with the support of our online community, the joint efforts of organizers and co-organizers, the backing of partner media and collaborators, and the strength of our dedicated fan base, each edition of the China Military Culture Festival will be better than the last. Let’s look forward to meeting again at the 2015 China Military Culture Festival. – Military Channel
