In recent years, China’s running market has shown explosive growth. The running community has expanded rapidly, with an increasing number of events such as marathons and trail runs. Internationally renowned professional running gear brands have begun to take notice and attempt to enter the Chinese market, while traditional domestic outdoor retailers have started to explore the sale of specialized running products, and strong outdoor brands have begun to expand their running product lines. A series of industry data indicate that a brand-new running era has arrived. Riding the wave of this running boom, the second edition of the Mountain Measuring Heroes Race will be held during the 2014 Asia Outdoor Exhibition (on the evening of July 25).
The 2014 “NORTHLAND Cup” Sanfo Outdoor “Mountain Measuring Heroes” Purple Mountain Fluorescent Run is a fun, mass-participation outdoor trail run jointly created by Nanjing Ningfei International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Beijing Sanfo Outdoor Sports Management Co., Ltd. Its aim is to better promote and popularize outdoor sports, champion the spirit of athletics, deliver an exciting fluorescent night run for running enthusiasts, bring a unique touch of coolness to Nanjing’s hot summer, and present an exhibition that feels closer to everyday life for the citizens of Nanjing.
This event collaborates with numerous outdoor brands, which will showcase the features of professional outdoor gear in all aspects — from clothing and equipment, to lighting and reflective markers... — while also providing the most comprehensive support. The race is set in Nanjing Zhongshan Sports Park, aligning with the park’s theme while further highlighting Nanjing’s outdoor resources and well-maintained, well-managed environment. The “Mountain Measuring Heroes” Fluorescent Run is currently the only nighttime running competition in China, featuring a course illuminated by outdoor light sources and reflective materials to offer runners the most thrilling and spectacular route. Participants will enjoy the night view of Nanjing from Purple Mountain, experience the exhilaration of exertion, and create a breathtaking scene alongside the mountain’s fireflies.
The race is divided into the “Heroes Challenge Group” and the “Fluorescent Experience Group,” with winners of the top three places receiving attractive prizes such as ultra-lightweight three-layer jackets, cicada-wing running shoes, and backpacks.
