From July 1 to 15, 2014, the 2014 VAUDE Paragliding 500km Grassland Crossing Race, themed “Either Fly or Walk,” was held as scheduled. Pilots took off from the Stone Forest Geological Park in Hexigten Banner, Inner Mongolia, and crossed the eastern part of Inner Mongolia to Chaoyang City in Liaoning Province’s knee area through a combination of flying and hiking, passing through two provinces, two cities, and six banners and counties.
Traversing the vast grasslands by combining hiking and paragliding is truly an outstanding way to experience the journey. Not only can you overlook the boundless expanse of the grassland, but you can also breathe in the scent of the earth and fully immerse yourself in the charm of nature.
