2015In 2015, the Asian Outdoor Trade Show will celebrate its tenth birthday in Nanjing. To thank exhibitors who have accompanied the show’s growth over the years, Nanjing Ningfei Co., Ltd. has decided to offer the biggest discounts ever in its tenth year, giving back to exhibitors and celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Asian Outdoor Trade Show10.

The discount policy may seem complex, but it’s actually just a simple combination of two discount conditions. Let us analyze the most cost-effective exhibition strategy for you.
The first type of discount is a passive one, meaning it is automatically granted by the Asian Outdoor Trade Show to all exhibitors simply by participating. For all exhibitors, whether in custom-built booths or standard booths, each time you participate, you receive a 1% discount on booth fees, and so on — participate three times and get a 3% discount, five times and get 5%. There is no requirement for consecutive years. In short, the discount percentage for your 2015 booth fee equals the total number of times you’ve participated (including 2015 and 2016).
The second type is an active discount, which includes early bird registration and the 2016 continuous participation discount. Early bird registration has always been the most generous discount method offered by the Asian Outdoor Trade Show to all exhibitors — just register before December 31, 2014, and prepay 10% of the booth fee to qualify. The 10th anniversary discount policy of the Asian Outdoor Trade Show not only considers past participation but also extends benefits to 2016. If an exhibitor signs a two-year consecutive participation agreement for 2015 and 2016, they can enjoy a 1% discount for the 2016 participation in advance during the 2015 show, and continue to benefit from this discounted price in 2016. For example, a company that has participated continuously from 2006 to 2014, registers for a custom-built booth at the end of 2014 and signs a two-year consecutive participation agreement for 2015 and 2016, would enjoy the following discounted price for both 2015 and 2016: 950 × (1 - 11 × 1%) = 845.5 RMB.
In conclusion, the best discount strategy, in our opinion, is to register early for the 2015 show, sign a two-year consecutive participation agreement, and combine that with previous participation counts to achieve the lowest possible booth cost through accumulated discounts. Among these, signing a consecutive participation agreement to secure discounted pricing is especially important, as it not only allows you to enjoy the discount in 2015 but also ensures you keep the 2015 discount rate in 2016 regardless of whether prices return to normal or increase. We believe this kind of consistent discount policy is an opportunity exhibitors with long-term plans and stable development should not miss.
While booth prices are an important part of the show, the scale of the event and the brands participating are key indicators of the 2015 show’s quality. According to Mr. Li Hao, Project Director of the Asian Outdoor Trade Show, excluding objective venue constraints, the 2015 Asian Outdoor Trade Show will return to its full scale of four exhibition halls and will feature a variety of innovative supporting activities to celebrate its 10th anniversary. We’ve also recently learned that COA member brands have expressed their continued strong support for the Asian Outdoor Trade Show.
Additionally, we’ve noticed that in recent years many “flash sale” exhibitions have emerged—new events pop up every year, but their lifespans are very short. Such transient exhibitions are very detrimental to the long-term development of businesses. We hope exhibitors will keep their eyes open, pay attention not only to the exhibition itself but also to the operational strength of the companies behind them, including their experience and influence in running other exhibitions, whether they have a history of organizing “flash sale” events due to their own issues, and how often such incidents have occurred. If an exhibition company has a high number of such events, it indicates a lack of sufficient experience and industry understanding, and they may not be capable of leading the industry toward greater development.
Lastly, we’ve also learned that Nanjing Ningfei International Exhibition Co., Ltd., a UFI-certified exhibition organizer, will host another event—the 2014 (4th) Asian Bicycle Expo—from October 9–12 in Nanjing. According to Mr. Li Hao, General Manager of Nanjing Ningfei, the company places great emphasis on industry needs and the long-term development of its projects. Whether in the outdoor or cycling industry, Nanjing Ningfei strives to create a professional, stable, and sustainably growing platform for the industry. We encourage all exhibitors to register early for the Asian Outdoor Trade Show to secure more discounts and celebrate its 10th anniversary. At the same time, friends in the outdoor industry are warmly welcome to visit the 4th Asian Bicycle Expo in Nanjing this October, explore related industries, and promote their own development.
