2014 Asia Bike Show: Professional, High-End, Stylish, and Caring

    From October 9–12, 2014, the 4th Asia Bike Show will be held at the Nanjing International Expo Center. On October 8, the 2nd Experience Day will take place at Nanjing Zhongshan Sports Park in the Purple Mountain Scenic Area. This year, the show will use Halls A, B, and C for the first time, covering an indoor area of 38,000 square meters and an outdoor area of 10,000 square meters. The scale of the show has grown by nearly 50% compared to last year, with over 460 exhibiting brands (compared to 394 in 2013).

    Green travel and a healthy, environmentally friendly lifestyle have been advocated by the Asia Bike Show since its inception. Since its launch in 2011, the Asia Bike Show has consistently focused on the markets for sports bikes, premium bicycles, cycling apparel, and accessories, actively promoting domestic cycling culture and sports.     The second Demo Day of the 2014 Asia Bike Show will be held on October 8 (the day before the exhibition) at Zhongshan Sports Park in Nanjing, continuing the philosophy of hands-on experience and a dynamic-static display combination. It offers 2015 models of new bikes, cycling apparel, and gear that have not yet been released to the media and professional audiences for testing, allowing visitors to fully experience the charm of global new products.

    The demo day is located in the scenic Purple Mountain area in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing, surrounded by mountains and water with beautiful views, making it ideal for setting up mountain bike and road bike routes. While testing new bikes, participants can also enjoy the beauty of nature — a delightful experience. “The weather in Nanjing during October is cool and comfortable, perfect for cycling.     Electric-assist sport bikes averaging 50,000 RMB? Yes, the special exhibition within the exhibition in Hall B will unveil the mystery. This “exhibition within an exhibition” has always been a highlight of the Asia Bike Show, known for its “high-end, large-scale, and premium” features, and is a gathering place for top domestic and international brands. This year, electric-assist sport bikes remain a major highlight. These are improved versions of mountain and road bikes with added electric power assist, which are entirely different from the electric bikes currently available in the Chinese market. They have only recently emerged in Europe and are expected to become popular in China within the next five years.

    Cycling to Tibet is the dream of many cyclists. Statistics show that during the summer vacation, an average of over a thousand people cycle toward Tibet along National Highway 318 every day. Those who have done it have many stories to tell; those who haven’t have much preparation to do. However, when many cyclists actually decide to take action, they often don’t know where to start. Some beginners, inspired by online “hero posts,” impulsively hit the road, unaware that long-distance cycling such as biking to Tibet demands high standards of gear and riding experience. In response to the growing community of long-distance cyclists, the 2014 Asia Bike Show has established a “Long-Distance Cycling Zone” for the first time, featuring both a product display area and a lecture area. It showcases and allows trials of long-distance cycling products, such as touring bikes, long-distance cycling clothing, long-distance cycling gear (e.g., helmets, panniers, cycling glasses, gloves, lights, GPS, action cameras), bicycle repair tools, tents, sleeping bags, and camping equipment.     The 2014 Asia Bike Show is open to professional visitors throughout the exhibition period.
