On September 14, 2014, during a golden weekend in autumn, the Beijing Niuer Cup Bouldering Exchange Event, also known as the Niuer Cup Mid-Year Competition, was held as scheduled. This event has significant influence across North China and even nationwide, and is currently the largest and most widely attended amateur bouldering and rock climbing event in China.
The Niuer Cup Bouldering Exchange Competition gathered outstanding amateur route-setters from across China. The carefully designed routes ensured safety, entertainment, and climbing enjoyment. The unique competition format was also a highlight — the first of its kind in China, featuring pairs grouped by skill level. This made the Niuer Cup a true exchange event, where athletes of the same level could share experiences, and experts offered guidance, allowing every participant, regardless of skill level, to learn something new, try new moves, and go home with a rewarding experience.
