On September 20, the final leg of the Discovery Road & Getu Exploration—Global EMBA Jungle Challenge commenced, as competitors made their final push toward the finish. Covering 21 kilometers from Zhong Cave to the entrance of the Getu River Scenic Area in Ziyun, the route included mountainous sections and climbing. Ultimately, the Fudan University team from the School of Management claimed the championship, followed by the Girl Power team from the School of Business at Renmin University in second place, and the Angry Beans team—a joint squad of EMBA participants from the University of Electronic Science and Technology and Antai College of Economics & Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University—secured third.
Compared to the heavy rain of previous days, today’s weather was refreshingly cool, with no strong winds or scorching sun, making conditions ideal for the athletes. At 7:30 a.m., the first team set off, waving goodbye to the residents of the Miao village in Zhong Cave as they embarked on their quest for the title. As more teams departed, the bustling atmosphere of Zhong Cave gradually returned to its usual tranquility, while logistics and supply transport operations for the event commenced.
Touchingly, during the awards ceremony at the evening banquet, team captains and members alike spoke highly of the event’s organization and support. In the raffle segment, one fortunate EMBA winner generously donated their high-value AEE HD sports camera to the captain of the Ziyun Police Special Operations Team, who had worked tirelessly to ensure security throughout the competition, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their efforts.
The award banquet reached its climax with the official establishment of the Getu Friends Club. With the competing athletes as its founding members, the club—whose slogan is “Happy To You”—aims to bring together EMBA elites who love outdoor adventures and embrace healthy living. Together, they seek discovery and exploration, bringing joy to themselves while inspiring and helping others.
Finally, Mr. Yang Jichuan, Chairman of Qianbaidu Communications—the event organizer—announced the closing of the challenge, marking the official conclusion of the Discovery Road & Getu Exploration—Global EMBA Jungle Challenge.
